Nokia will be among the first few OEMs to roll out the Android Pie 9.0 Update. So, for the Nokia flagships expect it before December or by the end of 2018, before 2019 shows up Nokia might have already updated, half of its portfolio. All thanks to super clean stock Android and the company’s commitment to deliver quick updates for 2 years.

These devices mentioned above might indeed get the Android Pie 9.0 update. However, suppose the device with the lite/mini moniker Honor 9 Lite was launched with Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box and is a budget device and should get at least deserve one major update. It still all comes down to Honor to the last decision on which device should get the update, most of it all depends upon the sales figures.

The Android Pie 9.0 update shall be arriving for these devices in Q1 of 2019, so it’s a long journey to go, thanks to Kirin chips and EMUI skin. Nonetheless, if the Project Trebel is playing its cards on these devices than, we can expect it to arrive much earlier, but it depends on whether the OEM implements it or not.

List of Micromax devices not getting the Android Pie Update

  • Canvas 1 2018
  • Canvas Infinity Pro

  • Bharat 2 Ultra
  • Dual 4

Micromax once a well known Indian brand has now lost its position to the likes of Xiaomi and Huawei and the company is no more producing any good devices since 2017. It’s Sub-brand Yu is also mum on announcements of any new products and both giants have lost their path. This is Due to the fact of producing Chinese re-branded products and selling them under made in India initiative, which no longer works.

However, the company launched a pair of devices in 2018 called the Canvas 1 2018, a successor of the legendary Canvas series back in 2013. But sadly the device runs on standard specs and runs on Android Nougat in 2018, which readily suggest you that none of the phones launched by the company is getting any Android Pie 9.0 treatment. Unless the Yu brand brings something new which should tout Android P 9.0 ships out of the box.

Xolo smartphones Android Pie 9.0 Update

Xolo similar to Micromax is an Indian brand which was at its peak in the Android KitKat era, and now the company hasn’t released even a single device in 2018, and the last one was launched in early 2017. And all of them run on Android Marshmallow 6.0, and there’s no chance whatsoever that any of its devices are eligible for Android P 9.0 Update.

No new Xolo devices were launched recently, and none of the pre-2017 and 2016 devices should expect Android Pie 9.0

Blu smartphones Android Pie 9.0 Update

There’s no update for any phones that BLU has launched, and the company mostly focuses on entry-level to mid-range devices. So, none of them even look capable of running anything more than Nougat. However, let’s see if anything is announced regarding updates from Blu. Their update page shows nothing more than a previous marshmallow update roadmap.
