While the Moto X4 regular model is getting the new June 5 security update which should keep the vulnerabilities in check. However, we’re not sure about the implementation of Project treble. The June security patch was seen seeding in some European regions, and Italy is the first to get it. Now as always the deal is the Updates do take some time to arrive in all regions, as they cover the globe in phases.
So be patient and wait for it or else you can keep the update in check by going to Settings > About Phone > System Software updates. Apart from that, when you get the update pop-up before installing do check whether you have enough battery left or not, at least 50% or more juice is required to install the update successfully.
Lastly, it is also recommended, to download such updates over Wi-fi rather than mobile data to avoid any extra charges.
