Realme 2 Pro Android 9 Pie Update: ColorOS 6.0, New Update Available

Oppo’s sub-brand Realme has launched another budget killer handset, the Realme 2 Pro and this is the company’s 2nd device. This one also comes with Android Oreo 8.1, which was the latest version of Android a month ago, but now the newest Android Pie 9.0 update is out and is the latest version of Android. On top of Android Oreo 8.1, it is also running a custom skin called Color OS 5.2. 5 July 2019: Realme 2 Gets Stable ColorOS 6 Update Based on Android Pie in India With June Security Patch. The update adds so many new things including Added App Drawer to ColorOS Launcher and fixes so many previously mentioned bugs. You can read more about the update on the official Realme forum thread.

30 May 2019:�The Android 9.0 Pie Update has started to be rolled out to the Realme 2 Pro, this comes with the version number RMX1801EX_11.A.20 and upgrades the ColorOS 5 to the all-new ColorOS 6, brings Chroma Boost Mode to the camera, and all ColorOS 6 features.

11 March 2019: In the latest episode of #AskMadhav, Realme CEO Madhav stated that ‘All Realme devices will get ColorOS 6.0 based on Android Pie update’ in the 1H of 2019. Also, the ChromaBoost feature will come to Realme 2 Pro in the same period. While the Realme 1, Realme U1, and Realme 2 Pro will get the NightScape Mode in Q2 of 2019.

16 December:�According to the official Realme Forum post, Realme 2 Pro will get a December update with�Fix for notification blinking issue in developer mode, Slow motion, and new security patch by the end of December 2018. However, the full rollout may start in early January 2019. The update will not contain major software changes and will be based on ColorOS 5.2, so still no Android Pie or ColorOS 6.0 update.

Update:�The�Realme 2 Pro�will be updated to ColorOS 5.2 on November 20 or later with features similar to that on the Realme 1, the CEO Madav Seth quoted. �Please note that we’ll do our best to meet these deadlines, but a minimal delay might happen, and you may not receive the update on the very same day as rollouts take time,��states Realme in its November 2018 update.

Coming back towards Android Pie update for Realme 2 Pro, According to the�companies official�statement, all�Realme�devices including Realme C1, Realme 2, and Realme 1 will get the�Android Pie update�in�H1 of�2019. As the device�is bit new and�selling well, the company may update the device to Android 9 Pie based Color OS 6.0 in Q1 of�2019.

However, there could be delays due to ColorOS 6 as that will be heavy skin on top of stock Android. On the other hand, you will continue to receive security patches for the next two years.
