Nokia 8 to come with a 13 mega pixel Selfie Shooter

HMD is all ready and set to launch the Nokia 8 on 16th August, and we already know quite a lot about the device. Earlier leaks have pointed out to a dual camera setup on the rear, one with an RGB and other one is a monochromatic sensor. With the famous Carl Zeiss Branding. But nothing was clear about the front snapper until now.

New leaks suggest a 13 mega pixel front selfie snapper for the Nokia 8. That is way more mega pixels for a selfie shooter. Moreover, the front camera can also shoot in 4K UHD quality. This is similar to what the iPhone 8 is expected to have.

This could also mean that Nokia could add support for AR capabilities; as now it has a lot of footage to track and work with. However, there’s nothing said about the Zeiss branding for the front facing sensor. On the spec sheet, Nokia 8 boasts a 5.3-inch Quad HD display. Runs on the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 4GB/6GB of RAM along with 64GB native storage.

Furthermore, the device was found on Geekbench running on Android 8.0 Oreo. But it’s highly unlikely to ship with it out of the box. Though it could receive the Update to Android Oreo soon. The device is expected to retail for under $600, which is a perfect price point for a High-end premium device from a Tier 1 Brand.
