Xiaomi Mi 6 gets Android Oreo Beta update globally

Long back in 2017 Xiaomi has launched its Flagship smartphone Mi 6 in the Chinese market against the likes of OnePlus 5 handset, though when it comes to software updates OnePlus is way fast and smarter than Xiaomi as even the earlier OnePlus 3 and 3T are running the Android Oreo currently.

But when we talk about Xiaomi in this context then there is much to complain about as it runs on MIUI 9 which based on the Android Nougat. Recently the brand has provided Android Oreo update for the Mi 6 so lets check out more about it.

Last year Xiaomi launched its Mi 6 device, and at that time it was one of the best devices, but if you are a Xiaomi fan, then you may be knowing that Xiaomi has that old relation with late software updates.

Till now no official Android Oreo update is available for the device and only the Beta is released about which we will be talking today. Xiaomi has recently presented its MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM with the version 8.1.11, but the questions from the majority are that how one can install it? So if you are in the stable version of ROM, then you have to put a little of your efforts by installing the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM v7.12.14 based on Nougat.

As you install it, your device will receive the notification for the Android 8.0 Oreo update, simply install it. As the name suggests Beta, do note that these versions are early and are not stable which means a user may have to face some little issues which make this Beta ROM unsuitable for daily use, in case you still want to experience those Android Oreo specific features then you may surely install this.
