T-mobile is quite on a roll this week, pushing out major updates for its devices and now the carrier is rolling out an OTA update which not only brings the latest August security patch but also a variety of improvements for navigation and Google apps. Moreover, the new firmware version comes in as N950USQU1AQ15; but the carrier is yet to update about the same on its page.
And the update weights about 198MB in size and packs a lot of improvements for Google maps, its weather widget along with major stability improvements for the same and performance boost to get the most out from your device.
However, there’s no word about Android Oreo 8.0 update, which Google recently announced but the Note 8 didn’t come with the same. Furthermore, the news rolled out about Samsung working on the Oreo update for its Galaxy S8/S8 plus. However, there’s no information yet about, how close the Android Oreo gets for the Galaxy Note 8.
Apart from that, Samsung is just regularly pushing out security updates as they company ahs promised earlier. But Samsung is still sluggish when it comes to major OS upgrades. Perhaps in the coming weeks, we could hear about a beta program for it and after a month done with beta testing. Then the South-Korena giant would finally roll out the highly anticipated Oreo update for its Galaxy Note 8 users; later in early December.
Well, you know the drill as usual, if you did not receive a notification for the update, just head over to System Settings > About Phone > System Updates, to manually check for update.
