Chinese smartphone manufacturers are doing a solid job bringing in innovations in the smartphone industry. We see software innovations, camera innovations, enhancement of AI, new ideas of designs, and most of them are coming from renowned Chinese tech giants. Oppo is one of the companies who took the primary initiative towards achieving a completely bezel-less design in any smartphone. The company launched Oppo Find X with an exceptional design. The device features a motorized camera mechanism for both front and rear cameras. The phone is extremely beautiful and used to look insanely futuristic when first introduced. It is the company’s first Bezel-less display smartphone.
Oppo later introduced more motorized camera phones, and they also launched phones with in-display fingerprint scanners. The company then bought their latest and greatest Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and 5G variants, a smartphone capable of zooming up to 10 times without losing a noticeable amount of image quality. Right after Huawei, Oppo became the second company to use a periscopic zoom lens in a phone. When everyone is making camera bumps larger, Oppo did it right! Reno has flushed triple cameras at its back with super elegant design aesthetics.
While the company is continuously bringing new devices in the market and increasing the competition, it is getting slower in pushing software updates to the existing devices. While companies like Huawei is about to showcase their EMUI 10 on top of upcoming Android Q very soon, Oppo is still actively pushing its ColorOS 6 update on top of Android Pie 9.0 to its existing devices. We recently heard from the company that its F9 is receiving the ColorOS 6 update on top of Android 9.0 Pie. So, overall Oppo is doing an excellent job with their innovation and ideas, and they’re ruining their track record of the latest update rollouts.
Today we’re going to tell you which of the Oppo devices will receive the Android Q update and which ones will not. If you want to know more about the features of the upcoming Android Q, then you might want to read our Android Q update tracking list and also the Vivo Android Q update list.
So let’s begin with all the three lists of the Oppo smartphones.
List of Oppo devices to get Android Q Update
- Oppo Reno
- Oppo Reno 10X
- Oppo Reno 5G
- Oppo F11 Pro
As of now, only these four smartphones from the company is confirmed to get the update. These devices are in the official Android Q beta list hence they’re confirmed to get the update as early as possible. Although Oppo users who don’t have these devices shouldn’t lose hope as it is quite an early stage of the discussion. Android Q is near to launch, and the company is currently pushing Android Pie to some of its devices, so definitely later the company will announce more devices which will get the Android Q update and users have to wait for much longer.
List of Oppo devices which may get Android Q Update
- Oppo RX17 Pro
- Oppo Find X
- Oppo F11
- Oppo K3
- Oppo R17
- Oppo R15 Pro
Oppo is quite a turtle in pushing the updates. So we hope that these devices will also get the update in the future. The company’s official confirmation is still awaited, but we believe that these devices are capable enough and they do deserve the upcoming major update. They can be as late as the current status of the company, but they can get the update.
List of Oppo devices which will not get Android Q Update
- Oppo A57
- Oppo F1s
- Oppo R9s
- Oppo R9s Plus
- Oppo A37
- Oppo A59
- Oppo F1 Plus
- Oppo A53
- Oppo F9
- Oppo A3s
- Oppo A5
- Oppo F7
- Oppo A71
- Oppo A83
- Oppo R11S Plus
- Oppo R11
- Oppo F5 Youth
- Oppo F5
- Oppo A77

These are the devices which we don’t think will going to get the Android Q update. These devices are older, have already received one major update at least, and some of them are fairly underpowered to taste the coming Android version. So if you use any of them, maybe it’s time for an upgrade because there’s no update for you.
Though these are the lists of worthy and unworthy devices from the brand, we will still wait for the official release of Android Q and the official announcement of Oppo after that. What do you think about all these lists? Oppo users, which list do you belong? Let us know in the comments.
