Xiaomi MIUI 8 is starting to show its age, and the long rumored MIUI 9 is said to be released soon. Xiaomi has already commented on the release dates being 26th July. Now a new leak shows that the registrations for MIUI 9 are going on and they can soon send off beta updates for the devices.
As per the leaks, the people who are registering now will be able to test the MIUI 9 on their Mi6 & Redmi Note 4X from July 27, which is not a long way to go, just a week more. These two will be the only two devices which will be getting the beta updates as of now. Later on, more devices will be added to the list.
The second batch of the device will include the Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Note 2, Redmi 4, Mi Max 2, and Mi 4. Rest of the devices, are either not going to get an update for the MIUI 9 or will get at a later stage.
Devices such as Xiaomi Mi 5c, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 4s, Mi 4c, Mi 3, Mi 2/2s,Mi Mix, Mi Max, Mi Note, Xiaomi Mi Pad, Mi Pad 2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X (MediaTek version), and Redmi Note 4(MediaTek variant) are not having any update from Xiaomi side as of now.
But we do feel that Xiaomi will be updating these devices to the MIUI 9 soon, it is still not clear that they will get it along with the Android Update or not, or will be just an MIUI version upgrade.
