Earlier the news was leaked on the internet as a person has talked to Samsungs executive regarding this, and that source has confirmed the update, but from that time we have taken it as a hint because nothing has been officially confirmed by the brand yet. Samsung Galaxy S6 is a 3-year-old device, and recent reports suggest that the brand may be rolling out the update for the device in the month of January-February.

List of Samsung Phones To Get The Android Oreo 8.x Update

According to us, there are not many possibilities for the device to receive the Oreo update as generally Samsung doesnt provide new Android software updates for its old devices and this time as well there is a possibility that Samsung will roll out the update only for its new devices. One of the major flaws of the brand is that they dont share much information about the updates and if in case the update will not arrive for the S6 then maybe Samsung S7 will be receiving the update.
