Xiaomi has recently released the latest MIUI 9 update for its number of devices, but still, there are many Xiaomi devices which are still waiting for it, as per Xiaomi they will be releasing the update for the remaining devices by the Q1 of 2018. Although the latest news we will be going to share in this article is something else, as per some sources Xiaomi has started testing Android Oreo for its Mi6 smartphone, let’s check out more about this update.
As per the source “my drivers,” Xiaomi has starting recruiting testers for testing the latest Android 8.0 Oreo for their flagship device Mi6. The information suggests that it is a closed Beta which means that only selected users will get a chance to experience the latest Android 8.0 Oreo on the device currently but after one month Xiaomi will make Oreo update available to general users as Developer Beta ROM which the users will be able to install manually.
Currently, this program is available for the Mi6 device, but we can soon expect the same program for the two other famous devices known as the Mi MIX 2 and the Mi Note 3. Earlier at the time of Android 7.0 Nougat, Xiaomi has done the same thing that is why we are expecting the same treatment for the Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 devices.
Currently, there are no leaked images of the Android 8.0 Oreo ROM for the Mi6, but soon they are expected to appear at the closed Beta program is running. This Android 8.0 Oreo update will bring a lot of features to the device including Adaptive icons, Instant apps, Notification dots, etc.
