Verizon surprisingly has started rolling out the latest Security update for the following Samsung devices on its Network. This latest patch is the October security update, which Samsung is pushing to all its devices and looks like the Korena giant doesn’t want to stay behind even on the carrier side of things.
These Samsung devices are getting the security patch:
- Samsung Galaxy S7 (NRD90M.G930VVRS4BQI1)
- Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (NRD90M.G935VVRS4BQI1)
- Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus ( NRD90M.G928VVRS3CQI3)
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (NRD90M.N920VVRS3CQI3)
One good thing is that the company also considered its two-year-old flagships from the S and the Note line are also getting. So, a tremendously wonderful job by Samsung right there. Along with standard security issues, this will also fix the Blueborne vulnerability which has been a major deal for the last couple of months.
Like always if you haven’t received the notification yet, just go to Settings >About Phone > System software updates, to monitor their arrival manually. Also, you need to make sure that your device has 60% or more battery left, to successfully install this update, or else it will fail in the middle of the process. Other than that download it over WiFi rather than mobile data.
Moreover, you should download the Blueborne scanner by team armis to verify that you’re protected from this nasty attack or not; you can download it from below.
