Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 and A7 2018 processor gets Bluetooth 5.0 certification

The two upcoming upper mid-range smartphones by Samsung that are the Galaxy A5 2018 and the Galaxy A7 2018 model’s processor has just received the Bluetooth 5.0 certification, just like Samsung’s current flagship the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus has. Moreover, with this new certification by Samsung, it is expanding the standard to all its upper-midrange device, and we hope soon the budget device will also get it in 2018.

The Bluetooth 5.0 enables high-speed bandwidth and also low energy consumption. Along with this the range also gets a bump, you can expect up to 3x the range. Moreover, the data packets sent over the channel is also increased now supporting up to 8x data packet capacity. Overall, a better and highly efficient wireless experience with Bluetooth 5.0.

Now talking about the processor which got this certification is the  Exynos 7885 which will be powering the Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7 2018 models. The Exynos 7885 is based on the 2x ARM Cortex-A73 core, and the clock speed is at 2.1GHz that will do the heavy lifting tasks while the rest 4x ARM Cortex-A53 is the power efficient CPU cores for the light tasks and to preserve the battery.

Overall a balanced setup, on the 2018 A series models, however, the latest rumors and leaks about the A5 and the Galaxy A7 2018 suggests that both devices will feature the Infinity display similar to the Galaxy S8/S8+, but it drops on the curved edges. The Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7 2018 will be launched together at the beginning of quarter 2 2018.
