India’s most awaited Jio Phone has now arrived with Bookings starting from this Thursday, i.e., tomorrow, the August 24th. Reliance Jio will officially start taking pre-orders of the 4G-smart handset. Some pre-orders were also taken last week by few Jio outlets. But now as it’s officially announced; both Offline and Online bookings are available for the 4G phone. The official time for the bookings starts at 5 PM on 24th August.
Moreover, for booking the phone, all you need is your Aadhar card that’s it, you need to take it with you when you go to your nearest retailer to book this phone. Only one phone can be reserved per person. And if you want to book large numbers for your organization you can do so by registering with your company’s name & with your organization’s PAN card number; as for each quarter, there’ll be 5 million units sold across India.
Besides, this the delivery after the bookings will be between September 1st and September 4th. As you may know, the JioPhone is effectively free, but initially, you need to deposit Rs.1500 INR which will be refunded, back to you by Reliance Jio after three years, only and only if you return this phone to them after three years of usage. How to book Jio Phone?
The MyJio app
Open the MyJio app on your Android phone, now tap on the Prebook Now option. After that, you’ll be asked to provide your phone number and the pin-code of the area at where you stay, and tap on Proceed option, Payment can be made Via both JioMoney and PayTM.
In a few minutes, you’ll receive an SMS as well as a booking ID on your MyJio app, confirming your Booking. Make sure you keep it safe as you’ll need it, when you pick-up your JioPhone from your designated retailer, mentioned in the SMS.
To book, a unit for your family member or friends, just add their Jio number as well as the area pin-code, and you should receive a confirmation SMS, mentioning your Booking ID and retailer to pick-up from, these messages will be sent to you as well as on your friend’s number.

And According to Gadgets 360, “the payment will be made in two parts – Rs. 500 is to be paid when you make the booking, while the remaining Rs. 1,000 needs to be paid while picking up the handset.”
Remember all the amount you pay in total, that’s Rs. 1500 INR is refundable after three years when you return the JioPhone to the retailers. Lastly, the delivery’s will begin from early September that’s from 1st September to 4th September while the company aims to ship at least 5 million(50 lakhs) units, but don’t expect that all the deliveries would make it till the end of September.
