Earlier a handset from the house of Huawei was spotted on Geekbench running Android 8.0 Oreo while officially the device hasnt received any update, we are talking about the Huawei Mate 9 here.
The device was launched last year and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat currently, it looks like Huawei is all ready to roll out Oreo for it as they have already started the Beta program for Mate 9 handset. Lets check out that what this Beta program is all about.
If you an Androidfanboy, then you might be knowing that before launching the official update many brands start Beta program through which they get a chance to test the built first and if they get negative feedback then there is a way to fix them. Huawei has also started it for the Mate 9 handset, and only 250 users will get the opportunity to test the Android 8.0 Oreo for the Mate 9 device. Do note that this is not the final update and will not have support for full features.
As we all know Beta is different from the final built and it has several bugs which will get fixed over the time so if you are thinking to take part in the Huaweis Friendly User Test then you should know that all features will not work in this update.
Taking part in FUT is a simple process, you can download it and can sign in using Huawei ID and soon the user will receive the OTA update of the Beta Android Oreo. Currently, it will only be available for the devices having firmware version MHA-L29C432B194. For further updates stay tuned to us.
