Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus gets 7th Oreo based Beta update

Samsung has organized a Beta update program for the Samsung Galaxy S8-series of devices and a few days back a new Beta software update has arrived for the devices. Now again a new piece of information is there which tells us about an all-new update which is rolling out in U.S region.

Earlier Samsung has announced that by the end of this month final update will get released, but it looks like other factors are not in favor of Samsung, anyway let’s check out more about this update.

As we have mentioned above it is a Beta software update which is released as the 7th Beta update for the device, beings a Beta it is pre-understood that it will not offer a perfect experience, but one can expect a close to the ideal experience. It is arriving for the devices with model number SM-G950U1/SM-G955U1, the update is available as an OTA(Over the Air) for the users who are on the previous Beta version of the software.

The update firmware is ZRAE and is dated as 19th January which means that this will also come with the latest January security patch. The software will upgrade the device with Samsung Experience 9.0 based on the Android Oreo.

This update also fixes a couple of existing issues including the Camera app crash, battery draining bugs, Samsung Experience app force close, Samsung Keyboard force close, Reboots while using Sprint direct connect app, Notification panel not showing information, Weather widget letters overlapping, Screen went black for couple of seconds, Camera shows split screen, etc, all these issues have been fixed with this update and soon Samsung will be rolling the official update.
