Xiaomi is known all over the world for its cheap and powerful smartphones, the year 2017 was very successful for the brand, and recently they have also launched their latest cell phone in India known as the Redmi 5A a.k.a “Desh ka Smartphone.” The recent piece of information suggests that Xiaomi will soon launch its two new devices which were leaked earlier known as the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. Recently the official account of Xiaomi has posted some images of the upcoming devices on Weibo platform. The specs and the design of the smartphones were leaked recently which gives us all a rough idea of the two devices. Xiaomi has also posted that their new smartphones will be coming on 7th of December. As the name of the two devices suggests, Redmi 5 Plus will be the superior of the two, while Redmi 5 will cost a bit less. The devices will first launch in the Chinese market and then make their way to the Indian shores.
As per the leaks, the two devices will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC and will be made available in two variants: 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. Both versions will be compatible with expandable storage through SD-card. The two smartphones will feature an 18:9 display, the Redmi 5 will have a screen size of 5.7(inch) and a 6.0(inch) Display will be present on the Redmi 5 Plus handset.
The devices will come with a price tag of below 1000 CNY which sounds excellent. Battery capacity will also vary in the two devices, Redmi 5 is supposed to come with a 3300mAh battery while Redmi 5 Plus is expected to house a 4000mAh battery.
