Samsung has now started rolling out, the now old Android Nougat update for its Galaxy A7 2017 smart phone as the Galaxy A7 2017 came this year with Android 6.0 marshmallow pre-installed instead of Nougat. The new update is being pushed out in India and users shall receive a notification about the same.
Moreover, the Android Nougat OTA update comes in with firmware version number as weighing about 1376.35MB. Samsung brings a lot of new features and enhancements with the latest updates. For instance, redesigned settings panel, the signature multi-window support along with Dual-messenger which allows having more than one account for messaging apps.
Other features include Samsung Pass, improvements for always on display and better under the hood performance fixes are also present. The Korean-giant had already released this update earlier in Thailand last month.
However, the company is doing great with providing regular security patches, but when it comes to major Android OS updates, it’s still sluggish as usual. Moving further, as you may already know; the updates begin to spread across the country in phases, one region at a time. So, don’t worry, if you did not receive the pop-up yet, it might head on your way soon.
Till then, make sure you have at-least 60% plus juice left on your A7 2017. Moreover, keep checking manually by heading over to Settings >About Phone >System Updates. While in case you were wondering about the latest Android Oreo, then do not expect that until next year Q2 2018 or Samsung might not update A7 any further, both things are possible.
