Recently in discussion with CNET, OnePlus’s CEO(Pete Lau) reveals that the anticipated device will be announced sometime in June. When it comes to specification, he hasn’t commented on anything, but according to him, the device will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845(64 bit) Octa-Core processor. There is a possibility that this time the brand will stick to 8GB’s of RAM as hardly any brand is there at present which is offering similar specifications.
The name of the device is also not confirmed by him which means if required OnePlus may change the name of the device. We have seen some latest smartphones from different brands that house some additional functionality like an NPU(Neural Processing Unit) or Artificial Intelligence, but this thing is missing on the OnePlus 5T, Pete Lau believes that companies are using AI word for creating hype rather than for functionality.
We believe that the upcoming OnePlus flagship might offer some different technology which will work better than the current devices with AI functionality.
