When it comes to Android software updates, your fully covered when you buy a Nokia phone, even if you have one of their budget or entry-level Android handsets. Taking this legacy ahead this time, HMD’s Nokia is now rolling out the latest May Security update for the Flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco and the entry-level Nokia 2. For both the device the update is over the sir and is available to grab on in India as well as in the US.
Apart from that, this new update weights at about 85.3MB for the Nokia 8 Sirocco, while for the Nokia 2 it comes at around 82MB in size. As per the changelog of this update, this only includes security patch and nothing else. Nokia has been delivering updates left and right and on time and is on par with how Motorola used to be in the past. Now, as usual, you should be aware of the fact that such updates no matter how small they are, doesn’t arrive around the globe at the same time.

It moves in phases covering one region at a time, so please be patient and before you download and start installing this update. You have to make sure you got at least 50% or more battery in reserve to install it without any issues. Moreover, in case you’re not sure whether your region is getting the update or not, you can check for it manually by heading over to Settings > About Phone > System Software Update. Finally, Nokia is preparing a bunch of new devices which will be unveiled soon in Moscow, and a global launch is also possible.
