Xiaomi’s Mi A1 now gets LineageOS 15.1 Officially

Xiaomi’s Mi A1 is now getting the latest custom LineageOS 15.1 which is based on Android Oreo 8.1. This one is the Official version of the custom firmware and brings all the latest features that you find in Android Oreo 8.1. For those, you are not much impressed by the MIUI and wanted a clean Android experience can get this, but then again the Mi A1 is an Android One device, but this clean version of Android�brings a lot of customization to the table.

With Android Oreo 8.1 you get a dark themed notification shade which changes its tint as per the wallpaper, no more display burn-in, ability to hide notifications, a new battery indicator for Bluetooth accessories and new power off and screenshot menu.

Xiaomi Mi A1 will also get Android P 9.0 whenever it is available, and this also means that in future when team lineage creates the LineageOS 16, Mi A1 will again be a part of it, but that’s still a long journey. MI A1’s successor that’s the Mi A2 has not been official yet, but its base device which in China is known as Mi 6X is announced.

The Mi A1 is powered by the Snapdragon 625 and paired with 4GB of ram and only comes with a 64GB variant. Feature dual camera (12 MP + 12MP)setup which was class leading back then, keeping the lights on the device is a 3080mAh battery.
