Huawei has just rolled out a new update for the Honor 6X smartphone, and this update brings the latest October Security patch to the handset. In case you don’t know Huawei smartphones run on their custom UI known as the EMUI and this update brings the EMUI 5.0.1 version to the smartphone. This update mainly focuses on the security terms, and there is no new noticeable feature included.
This update is only available for the U.S variant of the device which simply means if you own a U.S unit of the device or lives there then this update will be arriving for your device. If you haven’t received any notifications yet, then jump to the settings menu, from here click on about phone and from here tap on software updates.
Honor 6X users of other countries will soon be receiving this update. We know that most of you are eagerly waiting for the Android Oreo update, but the brand hasn’t revealed anything about that, we should wait for the official information till then stay tuned to us.
