Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) gets the December security update

Recently Samsung has rolled out an update for the Canadian units of the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus; it was the November security update which has already been rolled out in U.S and India.

A new piece of information is there which tells us about the latest security update that has been released for the Samsung Galaxy A5(2016).The device has recently received a new update and surprisingly it is the December security update. Let’s know more about it.

Last year Samsung launched its Galaxy A5(2016) handset, and it has now become the first Samsung device to offer the December security patch. In case you don’t know security update is a set of software designed for smartphones and it increases the security level of a device by a margin. This new update doesn’t bring any major noticeable changes to the device; the update is currently rolled out for the devices of Netherlands, if you bought your device from there or live there then it is good news for you.

The update weighs at 196MB and is an OTA(Over the Air) type update which means that there is no scope for manual installation. The update arrives with the version A510FXXU4CQL1, and after updating your device, you can clearly see “December 1” mentioned below the security software.

As per Samsung, this update aims to improve a lot of things in the device including the charging stability, under the hood performance, etc. This update will soon roll out soon in other countries as well. Before installing the update make sure that your device is having a minimum charge of 50%.
