Asus has already brought the Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India, and it’s performing quite wellgiving tough competition to the likes of the Moto G6, Redmi Note 5 Pro, and Realme One. However, Asus also has its Zenfone 5 2018 line up which has three devices, the Zenfone 5 lite, standard Zenfone 5 and the flagship Zenfone 5z. The Zenfone 5 even though come with a similar processor as the Zenfone Max Pro M1, it still goes ahead with its top-shelf cameras, bezel-less notch design and a variety of AI capabilities.
Talking about the Camera specs, the Zenfone 5 sports Dual12 MP and 8 MP cameras with f 1.8 and f/2.0 aperture. And has AI abilities such as scene detection, object detection and much more, the front is also accompanied by face unlocking feature. Moreover, the Zenfone 5 has a bezel-less designfeaturing a massive edge-to-edge 6.2-inch IPS LCD with Full-HD+ resolution, with a notch at the top. It also has a front chin, but the fingerprint scanner is rear mounted. The build quality is also far more premium compared to the Zenfone Max Pro m1.
Then ZenUI 5.0 is also AI-powered and is based on the Latest Android Oreo 8.0 OS, while updates for the Asus Zenfone 5 standard edition will be for at leasttwo years, along with frequents security updates. The battery is the only place where the Max pro m1 goes ahead. With an expected price around 20K to 25K the Zenfone 5 will compete with the Motorola Moto Z3 Play, Galaxy A6, Moto X4 and with the Vivo V9.
The device needs to justify its the price as the Zenfone Max Pro m1 is pretty similar to it under the hood. The device is said to be launched soon in India by the end of June or in mid-Julyis expected as per rumors. However, we don’t have much information about the flagship Zenfone 5Z’s launch in India.
