Facebook’s WhatsApp is on a roll for quite some time, introducing new features and services for its users. And now the messaging giant has brought the picture-in-picture mode(PiP) for video calling. And there is one more feature which WhatsApp has brought back on popular demand. That’s the text only status, which the messaging service killed in favor of a Snapchat like status update clone.
With the latest picture in picture mode, users will now able to move it around and also resize it as per their choice while multitasking; or doing any other stuff during that time, the video-call resized window will still stay live. This feature is similar to the Android Oreo’s picture-in-picture feature. WhatsApp started working on this function that’s the picture-in-picture mode since early July of 2017.

Speaking about the text-only status now that it’s back and will function as usual. Earlier the company brought Snapchat like stories where you can snap images and videos as your status updates, and they remained as your status for 24 hours. But many users still wanted the text status, and the company has listened to its users, thus giving the users the much-loved feature back.

Moreover, in the recent reports, a new feature called WhatsApp for Business allowing verified businesses to chat with their clients/customers. This new feature is said to be a paid facility to generate some revenue. We will see this new update very soon on both Android and iOS, in a couple of months.
You can download the most recent version of the WhatsApp APK from APKMirror.
