Google finally launched the highly�anticipated Android Oreo recently, which is a major OS upgrade after the Android Nougat, which many devices are yet to receive. And talking about devices receiving�the Nougat update; it’s Samsung who is still pushing Nougat for its mid-range and high-end phones. While the company is still mum on the Android Oreo upgrade for its devices.
But now according to a reliable�tipster who told�sam mobile�that the South-Korean giant has already started the Android 8.0 Oreo development. And the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus family are on the forefront of the list. With their firmware version numbers G955FXXU1BQI1 for�the S8�and�G950FXXU1BQI1�on the S8 plus. However, we could also see a beta program, for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users coming soon for the same update.
While the Galaxy Note 8 which was thought to be arriving with the latest taste of Android; also disappointed everyone when was found that it also ran on Android Nougat 7.1.1. But it’s also expected that the Galaxy Note 8; along with the some Galaxy S active series could also end up getting the update nearly same as with the S8/S8+, that’s by the end of this year.
The latest Android Oreo update brings a whole new set of features. Such as the infamous demanded picture-in-picture mode, improved doze, support for adaptive icons, newly redesigned emojis and much more. While some of this features may already found on Samsung’s take on Android(TouchWiz). So, not every nifty little thing could end up with the new update.
The electronics�giant though has promised monthly security updates for its high-end devices. And currently seen fulfilling the promised updates very well. But it remains to be seen, how quick and stable the company delivers significant OS upgrades.
