Samsung Granted New Foldable Device Patent

The increasing demand for new technology in smartphones pushed LG and Samsung to invest heavily in foldable technological innovations.

Samsung just filed another patent for a foldable device, which holds on to your hats and folds on the side. So when you open the device, you will get a tablet-looking device in Landscape mode.

As you can see, the patent application describes how the flexible device will work.

We have seen many patent applications from both Samsung and LG. According to the Evan Blass aka evleaks, both Samsung and LG planning to launch foldable smartphones in the 2nd half of 2017. Well, the time is not so far. However, the commercial public release may take time.
