Samsung launched four new smartphones in India lately. Two of them were introduced under the J series whereas the other two under the A series. The four smartphones being the Galaxy J6, Galaxy J8, Galaxy A6, and finally, the Galaxy A6+ were launched at an event in Mumbai.
Samsung Galaxy J6
Samsung Galaxy J6 comes with a 5.6-inches of Super AMOLED HD+ display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with the usual Exynos 7870 processor. Along with that, we get to see 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variants with 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage respectively. The memory can indeed be expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot. The Galaxy J6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. At the back, there’s a 13 MP rear camera whereas there’s an 8 MP camera on the front. The J6 is backed up by a 3,000 mAh battery from the inside.
Samsung Galaxy J8
Samsung Galaxy J8 comes with a 6-inches of Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with the Snapdragon 450 processor. Along with that, we get to see 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of internal storage all the way. The memory can indeed be expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot. The Galaxy J8 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung’s UI on top of it. At the back, there’s a 16 MP rear camera whereas the rest a 5 MP camera on the front. The J8 is backed up by a 3,500 mAh battery apart from those.
Samsung Galaxy A6
Coming to the A series, the Samsung Galaxy A6 now includes a 5.6-inches of HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio all along. It runs on the chipset from Exynos 7 series. With 4 GB of RAM, we get to see 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage variants here. And as usual Samsung touch, the Galaxy A6 will come with support for microSD card with expansion up to 256 GB. The Galaxy A6 comes with Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s flavor on top of it. There comes a 16 MP camera on the back whereas the front camera turns out to be a 16 MP one as well. And at the end, the phone is also backed up by a 3,500 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A6+
The Samsung Galaxy A6+ here includes a 6-inches of Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio all along. It runs on the Snapdragon 450 chipset just like the J8. With 4 GB of RAM, we get to see 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage variants here. And as usual Samsung touch, the Galaxy A6 will come with support for microSD card with expansion up to 256 GB. The Galaxy A6 comes with Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s flavor on top of it. There comes a 16 MP primary camera on the back whereas the secondary camera turns out to be a 5 MP one. The front camera, on the other side, has a 24 MP sensor. In the end, the phone is also backed up by a 3,500 mAh battery.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy J6 comes at a price of Rs. 13,990 for the 3 GB RAM variant and Rs. 16,490 for the 4 GB RAM variant. The Samsung Galaxy J8 comes at a price of Rs. 18,990.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 comes at a price of Rs. 21,990 for the 32 GB internal storage variant while the 64 GB variant is available at Rs. 22,990. The Samsung Galaxy A6+ finally comes at a price of Rs. 25,990.
The Galaxy J6, A6, and the A6+ will go on sale starting May 22 whereas the Galaxy J8 will retail starting from June 20.
