Huawei is on a roll for quite some time as the company is working hard on improving its image in the context of software updates. The Chinese telecom giant adds new
devices every week for it’s Android Oreo beta program and now a new member is joining in for the testing is the Honor 8 Lite, which belongs to Huawei’s subbrand, Honor. It’s surprising that being a mini/lite version of its series, Huawei is still blessing it with
a new version of Android.
So, with this new update, you’ll get the newly designed EMUI 8.0 which is based on Android
Oreo 8.0. However, this is currently for a limited number of devices because with beta testing; you always have a risk of getting some bugs and glitches here and there. So, with that said, Huawei has some 15,000 Plus slots available for interested users to join this beta
program for Android Oreo on the Honor 8 Lite.
Moreover, to get access to this bet update program here are some things that you need to have.
Firstly, you need to make sure you have the Honor Services app installed with the latest version on your phone.
Next, launch the Honor Services App and hit the services tab in there
Next, you have to tap on the upgrade option and tap on the Apply option.
Once, this is completed Huawei will send you an acknowledge, that your request for testing
Oreo is accepted and granting you access to download the update. And the following models are eligible for the Android Oreo beta program.
PRA-AL00 (3/32GB and 4/64GB)
PRA-AL00X (4/32GB and 4/64GB)
PRA-TL10 (4/32GB and 4/64GB)
Nonetheless, for those who aren’t aware of the fact that the Honor 8 Lite is sold overseas with various naming schemes such as Honor P8 Lite, P9 Lite, Nova lite, and G3. So, the update should also arrive for these devices.
