11 May 2019: The Realme X has been spotted on Geekbech with Snapdragon 710 onboard coupled with 8GB of RAM, this makes it clear that the Realme X will be powered by the same processor as the Realme X Youth.
8 May 2019: New Devices have appeared on TENAA and has confirmed the specifications, The Realme X with model number RMX1901 has dimensions of 161.2 x 76mm and 9.4mm thick and weighs about 191 grams. On the display side, It comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with no-notch and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 px, Also the display has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor coupled 4 GB of RAM and has inbuilt storage of 64 GB. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 onboard. On the battery side, The Realme X is powered by a 3,680mAh battery. On the camera department, it comes with a 16MP pop-up selfie camera and a dual camera setup of 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel on the back, It may come in two colors which are Black-Blue Gradient and White
7 May 2019: According to a Source, the Realme X is launching on 15th May 2019 in China. But there isnt any confirmation yet when the Realme X Youth will be launching or when the Realme X will launch in India
2 May 2019: A new leak suggests that the upcoming Realme X will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and will be priced at $340 for the 6GB+128GB Variant, and ~$386 for the 8GB + 128 GB Variant
1 May 2019: According to a popular Leaker, Ishan Agarwal, Realme will be launching two phones in China, the Realme X with pop-up selfie camera and another version of the Realme X Youth/Lite. Realme 3 Pro isn’t launched in China yet, so there is a possibility that Realme would launch the Realme 3 Pro as Realme X Youth in China.
30 April 2019: Realme’s CMO Xu Qi had posted a post on Weibo which confirms that this post was posted through an unknown device named Realme X. The device was described as a “Full Screen Dare to leapfrog” which means that this phone will be having a full-screen display.
29 April 2019: Realme released their first theme song on the Weibo account, this post revealed a new Realme device with pop-up camera and a full-screen display and no-notch, this device is expected to be the Realme X. This post showed that it will have a 3.5mm Headphone jack and gave a clear look to the device.
26 April 2019: A new unknown Realme device with model number RMX1901 has been passed through TENAA (Telecom Authority), this seems to have a similar design to the previously launched Oppo Reno. The images show a vertical dual camera setup on the back which comes with a gradient finish as seen on the Realme 3 Pro. The back has no space for the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner so it may be possible that this comes out to be the first Realme phone with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Realme X Price
The Realme X will be priced cheaper than the OnePlus 7 but higher than the POCO F1, we expect the pricing of the base variant of the Realme X of 6GB/128GB to be around $340 and ~$386 for the 8GB + 128 GB Variant.
Realme X Release Date:
Realme hasn’t launched the Realme 3 Pro yet in China, and there may be a possibility that the company may launch the Realme 3 Pro and the Realme X together in China. However, we expect it to launch in the Q3 of 2019.
