Oppo R15 gets Color OS 5.1 update, brings AI features

Oppo being generous this year and is rolling out updates more frequently than ever and now the Chinese OEM is rolling out a new software update which brings a brand new version of its custom skin over Android, and it packs a bunch of new features. The update comes in the form of ColorOS wit version number 5.1 for the Oppo R15. The device was launched recently by the company and is premium mid-ranger running on Android Oreo 8.o with ColorOS 5.0.

Moreover, the ColorOS 5.1 update brings a new multitasking feature in the form of Split screen, which gets triggered when you swipe three fingers on the display. Furthermore, you also get a smart assistant who is capable of finding a parking spot, can scan bar/QR codes and also smart object scanning is now included to tout the AI abilities.

Apart from that, some other features include you get a game mode, called as Game Space which will boost the performance of your Oppo R15 while gaming as you guessed it. And should also deal with throttling when the device gets hot.

Lastly, a new privacy piece also makes its way into this update is the latest June�Security patch, that fixes newly discovered Android vulnerabilities which is a very nice addition from Oppo’s side. And you get face�verification for app installations, as well. The update is released in phases and will take some time to reach all regions so be patient till it arrives on your phone.
