OnePlus 5 receives the Oxygen OS 4.5.41 update

OnePlus is in headlines these days because of its upcoming OnePlus 5T, which will be the successor to the current OnePlus 5. OnePlus has recently rolled out a new update for the OnePlus five users, if you are wondering about the Android Oreo update then don’t as it is not a major update.

This update brings the fixes for the existing issues of the device. This updates the device to the latest Oxygen OS 4.5.14, let’s check out more about this update.

As we mentioned above, it is the Oxygen OS 4.5.14 update and is an OTA(Over the Air) type update which means no option for manual installation. This is currently rolling out on all OnePlus five devices so if you haven’t received this yet then don’t bother as in a couple of days you will receive it. The new update makes the device compatible with Airtel VoLTE. The phone also fixes the existing Wi-Fi security bugs.

The phone brings the latest September security patch to the device which will protect the device from some security issues. It optimizes the battery and increases the backup by a small margin.

For your kind information, OnePlus is working on an Oxygen OS based on the Android 8.0 Oreo for the OnePlus 5, and as per the sources, they will soon be releasing it may be by the end of this year.
