OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 August Update bring Cool new features

OnePlus earlier declared that Android 8.0 Oreo will be the last major update for OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T, and now they have released a new update for the two, but it is obviously not the Oreo upgrade, it is the August Security update for these devices. In this update, they have received some new features which are identical to what we have seen in the recently launched OnePlus 5 Flagship. Anyway, let’s find out what has changed after the update.

It is an OTA update, but still, you can download it from the web as it is under the OnePlus Beta program. It brings a lot of improvements and new features to the devices. The major visible change is in the camera part as now you can add a “Shot on OnePlus” watermark on the images clicked by the smartphone. It is already available in the OnePlus 5 from the beginning. You can switch it on by jumping to camera settings.

The update also brings stability while using applications parallel and now it won’t show the notifications from the apps which are locked by the app locker. One significant beginning is the E-Warranty card now you will get a digital Warranty card in about phone section from where you can get further information about the device. Now the color profile of the display has also adjusted as earlier some issues were reported, now it is calibrated to sRGB profile.

Some other changes are also there regarding speed, call functionality, stability, contacts UI, etc.
