If you are the one who keeps updated himself/herself about the Android OS, then you may be knowing that in the latest Android 8.0 Oreo a new feature is available which allows you to customize the search bar. This new feature of the Android Oreo has been replicated by the Nova Launcher up to a certain extent. Now you can adjust the width and height of the search bar and can edit it as well.
In the latest beta update whose version is 5.5 Beta 7, a user can even replace the search bar with some other widget of his/her choice. This liberty was previously not available in the Nova Launcher, except that search bar customization, no new features are there though you can expect some performance increment in the new versions.
