TENAA, the Chinese Telecom Regulatory has recently certified a new variant of Moto Z2 Force, and it is expected to be available Globally.
The unit that was tested by the TENAA agency seems to have a larger RAM and more internal storage. If we dive deep into it, we see that it has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash storage. When we take a look at the model number of this thing, it appears as XT1789-05. Talking more specifically about the connectivity, we get a TD-LTE and FDD-LTE networks availability which is compatible with most of the Chinese brands but looks like the US has a disadvantage here since it has very few and limited bands working. Along with 4G LTE, we get Edge, GPRS, 2G GSM, 3G WCDMA and CDMA networks all along.
Apart from the differences we saw with the internal storage and RAM expansion, we don’t see any other changes at all. We got the same offering from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835 octa core chipset clocking at 2.35 GHz. The GPU to be particular is the Adreno 540 GPU just like the normal variant. The same shatterproof P-OLED display with the same resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
12 MP Dual Cameras at the back, 8 MP camera in the front. Fingerprint scanner position, battery capacity, and everything elseis the same. Out of the box, Android 7.1.1 Nougat as well with Moto Mods capabilities added which adds the modular capabilities to the smartphone. It has the same Moto UI with no bloatware added to the OS making it feel more stock alike.
As said above, it is certified by TENAA which seems like a hint to the availability soon. So we can expect a new variant of Moto Z2 Force from the Moto or maybe more precisely, Lenovo soon.
