HTC, when it was in its One M9 and A9 era, was on par with Google and Motorola when it came to quick delivery of Android Updates, but after that, the company just like Motorola became sluggish when it came to updates.
However, with the latest reports emerged online suggests that HTC is almost done with its Android Oreo development. Moreover, the Taiwanese giant is in its final development stage, other than that we also have an ETA for the same, which is said to be in November or in early December.
If the development for Android Oreo is in the final stage, then this ETA makes sense, plus if you are following HTC lately, you would have noticed that the company has toned down its Sense Skin and it is now pretty close to Stock Android. This is one factor that could have helped the company to roll out Google’s latest flavor of Android in Early December, ahead of other OEMs.

Moreover, for the updates, the devices confirmed are from the flagship family, those include the HTC U11, HTC U Ultra and the HTC 10. Now out of these devices, the HTC 10 probably won’t be the one to get Oreo by this year itself, while its successors launched this year in 2017 are up on the priority list for the Oreo upgraded.
Lastly, the upcoming bezel-less HTC U11 Plus, which is the prime variant of the current U11 flagship will come with Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box. We will update about the Android Oreo schedules of HTC phones as we learn more about what the company plans next.
