Galaxy S9, S9 Plus and Mi Note 2 gets LineageOS 15.1 support

Samsung’s Galaxy S9/S9 Plus are doing quite well in the market, and the developer community is also quite active for these devices. Now the flagship duo has received an unofficial build of the LineageOS 15.1 which is the latest version of the highly customizable ROM based on Android Oreo 8.1. Bringing in all the new refinements and a full version of features that were introduced with Android Oreo 8.1.

This latest LineageOS 15.1 build is available for both device, and the download link for each is given below, the only thing you have to make sure is that it is only supported on the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus. The LineageOS team is constantly working hard to roll out the latest ROMs, and we have seen many devices which have officially received the LineageOS 15.1 build, such as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, OnePlus 2 and many more.

Some new features from Android Oreo 8.1 are tinted notification shade, which draws colors from your wallpaper, Neural Network API, improved auto-fill and much more. Apart from that, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was also treated with LineageOS 15.1, and this one is an official build for the device.

All you have to do is make sure you have a rooted device and an unlocked bootloader, and also a custom recovery such as TWRP recovery installed. After that, download the right firmware file, place it on your internal storage and flash it using TWRP recovery.
