Samsung is on the forefront in rolling out the beta testing program of Android Oreo for its Galaxy S8/S8+ and now after the stage 2, the third stage begins in the US, this new firmware brings the fix for the phone app which use to crash every time along with that other bug fixes reported by the testers.
The latest update�weighs around 46MB and the build number is�ZQK8 at the end�of the unlocked variant of the Galaxy S8/S8+. The carrier variants are also receiving the update, in this, the T-Mobile variant of the flagship got the update weighing around 138MB, it contains bug fixes and stability improvements, you should try to�install it anyways to have a look yourself and test if the previous issues are still there.�Keep checking the system software update in your about phone’s settings, if you haven’t received the pop-up yet.
So, with that said, Samsung is really pushing hard the Oreo, and with this pace, we can now surely say that the final build will be delivered on time, and that is in January 2018 as confirmed by Samsung�Turkey.
For Galaxy S8/S8+ users in other countries like India and some European countries, Samsung will start the beta process soon in the second session of the beta program, as far as the security updates are concern�Samsung has done a tremendous job this year as the company was regularly pushing security patches.
