Known for its private browsing the Firefox Focus browser for Android has been now updated to version 9.0 with new Ad-blocking features and more. FireFox Focus browser was launched in 2017 keeping user privacy in mind; the browser comes with various tracking blockers, better private mode browsing and other ad blocking features.
Mozilla in a press release last month said that starting from version 9.0 users won’t be seeing any ads anymore, but the feature will remain in a testing phase for a few weeks before its fully incorporated into the app. Mozilla said that most of the trackers, cookies, and other identification methods are built into the ads so the browser will be blocking all kind of ads to give the user the ultimate private browsing experience.
While the focus of the version 9.0 update is mainly on Ad-blocking, the update also comes with some under the hood bug fixes and stability improvements. The app is already small in size and is considerably fast; this update works as an icing on the cake and makes the whole user experience more smooth for the end user.
