Coolpad hints that they will be launching their new smartphone in the Indian market on 20 August and according to us it is none other than the Cool Play 6. The company has also scheduled an event on the date in India.
They have also tipped that their upcoming device will come powered by a Snapdragon 653 which is also a sign that Cool Play 6 is coming as it also runs on the same Snapdragon 653. Coolpad Cool Play 6 was previously introduced in China and is undoubtedly among one of the best smartphone Coolpad has ever made. The phone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653(64 bit) Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.8Ghz along with an Adreno 510 GPU for Gaming.

The biggest highlight of the device is that it sports 6GB of RAM at this price. The phone has a Metal design which somewhat looks similar to the current Cool 1 handset. The phone has a Fingerprint Scanner in the rear. It has a 5.5(inch) Full HD IPS In-Cell Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 450nits peak brightness. It comes with Dual 13MP+13MP Cameras in the rear with Aperture f/2.0, PDAF, LED Flash and on the front, an 8MP camera is present. The camera looks promising on paper, but we will have to wait for a few days to see actual results.
The phone offers 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB’s via external card. It runs on a 4060mAh battery and comes installed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The phone will compete with the Redmi Note 4, Lenovo K8 Note, Nubia Z17 Mini, etc. According to us, it will launch in India for a price of around 13,999 INR-15,999 INR.
