Samsung’s virtual voice assistant Bixby was first unveiled in South Korean markets several months ago. While it didn’t come to all countries as of yet, but the company eventually launched it for Galaxy S8/S8 plus users in the United States. Now the Korean-giant is preparing to start a global release process in several markets around the world.
As many users from regions like India, the UK, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Germany have reported about receiving the updates. Notably, Samsung remains to enable Bixby in some regions. It;s receiving these new updates where Bixby is already enabled.
Speaking of the new updates, it includes the Bixby apps such as Bixby, Bixby Dictation, Bixby PLM, Bixby Wake up and Bixby Global Action. Moreover, to start the Bixby dictation app with Samsung keyboard on, press and hold the Bixby key. While holding, say what you want Bixby to dictate onto the keyboard and release when you’re done.

On the other hand, the Wake-up Bixby feature is now added to its arsenal; which allows the voice-assistant to woken up by saying “Hi Bixby.” And the assistant will start to listen to your commands without a press of a key! Well, then what’s the use of the dedicated Bixby key? More countries are expected to be part of this major global roll-out. Though how many features would be received and will work as promised is still unclear.
