After so many months Samsung is yet to ship the much awaited Android Nougat 7.1.1 update. According to Vodafone, Austrália updates list guide. It shows that the update has been submitted for approval. Eventually, the update is in its final stages.
The new update is listed as Android 7.1.0, and not 7.1.1 while mentioning it as “Stability and Bug Fix.” That simply means this version isn’t the same. As Google’s version of the update but a minor tailored for the Galaxy S8/S8+. As there won’t be any pixel launcher, as we already know Samsung’s TouchWiz takes responsibility of the User interface in the S8/S8+.
Similarly, Samsung also uses its own emojis, Keyboard, and its themes. Even though the update won’t sound that of a major one after the things mentioned above. It’s still a good idea to grab it as you don’t want to miss on those bug fixes. So, consider this as a rather minor update. There’s a chance that since this is a bugs and stability fix type, it could make it’s way quicker around the globe.
Unfortunately, there’s currently no information about the exact roll out time or dates, but we’ll keep you posted, as and when that happens, or more details come to light.
