Telegram 5.1 update to introduce Polls feature (APK Download)

Telegram Messenger is a messaging app which boasts of being the most secure messaging platform. Its like most messaging apps which work over the internet. Telegram is famously known for using various bots to simplify the user experience. It was one of the apps which introduced a botstore and is ascribed for popularising bots.

Earlier PollBot was required to create a Poll. With the recent update- Beta v5.1.0- users can create and share polls in groups and channels, making the use of PollBot unnecessary. All you need to do to use this feature is to update the app to the latest version (Telegram Beta v5.1.0).

What’s New in version 5.1:

– Create polls in groups and channels right from the attachment menu.
– The number of online members is shown even in very large groups.

This feature cannot be used in personal chats; you can use it by tapping on the Attachment icon and then selecting the Poll option in a group or a channel. After doing this, the procedure is simple and almost similar to creating polls on Facebook. Type your question and add all the possible options, to add more options, tap on Add a new option and then rearrange the options according to your convenience. The question and the options should be entered in TextBoxes, and all the fields have a character limit.

If you are satisfied with the question and the options, then tap on the Ok icon to publish the poll in Telegram groups and channels. After the creation, everyone present in the group can respond to the poll. The Poll is anonymous, so other people wont know the option you have selected. It can be stopped when the poll creator intends to. You can download the latest version of Telegram APK from APKMirror.

Will you be updating Telegram Messenger and use the Poll feature? Let us know.
