T-mobile confirms Oreo update for Galaxy J7 Prime and the Tab E 8.0

Samsung will be updating the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 and the budget-oriented Galaxy J7 Prime to the latest flavor of Android that is Android Oreo 8.0 on T-Mobile. Both devices are currently running on Android Nougat 7.0 and in the coming weeks, or maybe months you should be able to get the taste of the latest flavor of Google’s Android OS.

However, there’s no word on when will the actual update will roll-out, but this is a good move as carrier exclusive budget devices are being promoted to the next major version of Android. If you aren’t aware, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is Samsung’s best-selling budget phone yet and us powered by an Octa-Core Processor clocked at 1.6GHz, a 5.5-inch 720p HD display on the front with a fingerprint scanner on the front as well. Onboard is 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage with room for expansion via micro-sd card support.

Moreover, it has a massive 3300 mAh Battery keeping it alive and features an 8 MP rear shooter and a 5 MP front selfie snapper. Now moving towards the Tab E 8.0 gets a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor with just 1.5GB of RAM. Battery here is a whopping 5000mAh. And as the name suggests an 8-inch HD TFT display is present here. T-mobile has the 32GB variant on sale, and it is priced at just $240.

Android Oreo 8.0 shouldn’t be arriving anytime soon, given the fact that Samsung is still rolling out beta updates for its flagship Galaxy S8/S8+ so, it’s a long journey for of these devices when it comes to Android Oreo update. Maybe Samsung should update them Android Oreo Go edition, for faster delivery.
