OnePlus is pushing out a new software update for the OnePlus 3T as well as for the OnePlus 3. This new update brings the OxygenOS 39 and 30 beta for the OnePlus 3T/3 respectively. The devices are already two years old now and are great to see that OnePlus is still treating them well with updates, the update cycle for the OnePlus 3 series will end by November 2018. It is not that both the devices are receiving a different version of OxyegnOS are getting different features, both are getting identical software goodies.

Moreover, the update brings optimized camera switching between the front and rear and now should be a faster process, and you don’t have to wait for a second or more for the switch to happen. Furthermore, the app drawer now gets a much-improved search tag as well as you find a new Installs tag within the app drawer. This new update also brings multi-media enhancements such as the ability to seek within an AAC Audio files within its playing timeline.

Now as always the case is making sure you have enough battery left, that’s 50% or more before you start downloading and installing this update. And please be patient until the update pops up, as such update don’t show up on devices at the same time. They cover a particular area around the globe in phases.

To check for the update manually, you can head over to Settings > About Phone and then tap on System Software Updates. With such updates, the OnePlus 3 and the 3T will age well in this new era, and it’s also a great signal for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 6 owners.
