Motorola Moto G6 line-up full Specifications and images leaked

Motorola recently appointed Sergio Buniac as it’s new President, and the company also said that new devices from the house of Motorola are coming soon, this April. We expect the Motorola to unveil the successor to its highly successful Moto G series, which is now in its 6th generation. The Moto G6 has been in leaks for months and now as we move closer to the launch, more details about the Moto G6 Line-up surface online. This time the specs and new leaked images of the device have emerged online.

With the all-glass look the Moto G6 Plus, the Moto G6 Play, and the regular Moto G6 will sport the new 18:9 aspect ratio display at various sizes. The Moto G6 Plus and the regular Moto G6 has a front mounted fingerprint reader, while the Play variant has the fingerprint sensor embedded on the rear within the Motorola batwing Logo. Furthermore, all the three devices will come Android Oreo 8.x.x out of the box.

The Moto G6 Plus will be having a massive 18:9, 5.93-inch IPS LCD panel which carries a Full HD Plus resolution. This plus variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 chip and will have 6GB/4GB RAM along with 64GB/32GB of internal storage with room for expansion via an SD-Card. Earlier it was also rumored that the G6 Plus could be water and dustproof with its IP67 ratings.

Meanwhile, a page on Amazon UK listing the Moto G6 Plus with the claims that they will have the infamous Moto Voice(touch-less controls) this time, which lets you talk to the device without physically touching it.

 

The camera’s on the Moto G6 Plus will be far more advanced than its siblings, with the Plus model featuring a Dual-Camera setup with the primary sensor being a 12 MP f/1.7 aperture, while a secondary 5 MP depth sensor with Dual-Tone LED flash will be present as well. On the front, a selfie flash accompanied with a massive 16 MP snapper for selfies all three cameras have a f/1.7 aperture is expected.

The battery also gets a slight bump at 3250mAh, with Turbo Charging support and all this at a rumored price of just USD 320 or INR 20K or more. However, Motorola always prices it’s devices very aggressively in the Indian market so we can expect something similar this time as well.

The regular Moto G6 model sits between the Plus and the Play variant and has decent specs compared to the Plus and is much better than the Play model. A 5.7-inch 18:9 IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution. The Moto G6 also comes with a Dual-Camera setup similar to the Plus model. However, the image processing might differ here, but you still get the same Dual-Tone LED flash.

Under the hood, it packs a Snapdragon 450 Chip which is powerful enough and is very capable when it comes to day-to-day tasks and gaming. Paired with it is 3GB/4GB RAM again with the same storage options as the Moto G6 Plus. Battery here is decent with 3000mAh capacity. This mid-tier Moto G6 will retail for $249 or 15,999 INR.

If you’re looking for a larger battery, the Moto G6 Play is the way to go with it’s notably smaller 5.7-inch 18:9/FullHD+ panel and a massive 4000mAh battery, along with the power efficient Snapdragon 430 chip, which makes sure the Moto G6 Play can run for days to come.

Storage options are offered as 16GB and 32GB which is pretty reasonable while the RAM options run from 2GB to 3GB which is again acceptable for a device of this price bracket. The camera here is a single 12 MP Shooter and a 5 MP front selfie snapper which also, fortunately, has a selfie flash. The Moto G6 Play will be the cheapest among all carrying a price tag of $199 or 13K INR.
