(Download) Google Duo app new update brings Screen sharing and many new improvements

Google’s Duo app is still the better ones out there when it comes to seamless video calling experience, and with this latest teardown of Google Duo done by the folks at androidpolice, and has revealed some new exciting features. But do remember, that evidence discovered of a new feature in an APK teardown doesn’t always mean that; we’ll get that feature in the next update or maybe not, just like the Google Play Store one we reported earlier.

Moreover, now let’s start talking about what we have here, the first one is you might get a separate audio dialing call option along with the regular video calling option. You also get a search bar in which there’s a video icon, which can be pressed to start the video from there itself directly.

Interestingly, another string of code reads, cast button, which can be enabled or disabled, while in the call; which suggests that you might be able to share your phone’s screen while on a video call. The shared screen will overlay, and you presumably can be able to resize it how much ever you want.

Here’s the code snippet:

<ImageButton android:id=”@id/button_call_cast” android:visibility=”gone” android:layout_width=”64.0dip” android:layout_height=”64.0dip” android:scaleType=”centerInside” android:contentDescription=”@string/toggle_screensharing” style=”@style/TachyonWhiteCircleButton” />

android:name=”com.google.android.apps.tachyon.util.ScreenCapturerHelper$HandleAuthIntentActivity” android:excludeFromRecents=”true” android:exported=”false” android:theme=”@android:style/Theme.Dialog” />

Another one clearly reads about the screen capture handler, as well as there’re buttons and labels which also relate about sharing your device’s screen; adding further fuel to this exciting feature.

Thisfeature will be a convenient one when you try to explain something in detail. Moreover, it would be a great opportunity if something on your phone has issues; an excellent troubleshooting way for OEM’s support services, they can also benefit from this screen sharing feature.

So, if you want to download this new version of Google Duo APK, just visit here, or you can waituntil the update rolls out to your region.
