Asus earlier launched its Zenfone 3 Max in India priced at 10,999 INR, and recent information suggests that Asus is rolling out a new update for the Zenfone 3 Max. It is a mid range handset and offers ample specifications for the price, the main highlight of the device was its 4130mAh battery which provides more than a day backup at full charge. Let’s check out what changes the new update brings to the phone.
The new update is numbered as 14.0200.1708.324 and is an OTA(Over The Air) type upgrade, to download this update you have to go to settings menu and then go to Check updates. After successfully installing the update the user will be able to use 4G connectivity with VoLte support. If you are using this device, then you may know that the phone earlier offers 4G connectivity, but VoLte option was not there due to which consumers are facing problems.

In India, there are some service providers like Jio that are offering HD Voice calling but if a person has a device which doesn’t have a VoLTE support, then he/she has to use the provider’s application to make HD Call. However, now one can easily take advantage of this functionality to improve the connectivity. The update offers no User Interface changes, and if you are wondering, then it is not an Android version update.
Additionally, the update offers latest security patch which protects the device from some viruses and if you recall a MediaTek processor powers the device, and this update also brings minor improvements in the performance of the handset.
