After Lenovo’sZuk Z2 Plus getting the MIUI 10 port, now it’s time for the Lenovo Vibe P2, which runs on Android Nougat to get the new MIUI 10 ported ROM. This new port is brought to you by a talented of XDA developer who goes by the namey4977143and has managed to successfully port the MIUI 10 version8.6.19 for the legendary Lenovo P2 smartphone. However, one to note here is that this is still the trial version of the ROM and not the final stable version.
With the MIUI 10 Ported ROM you get a bunch of new features such as dynamic wake-up ringtones which changes its looks as per the outside day/weather, and also all the gestures supported on the MIUI 10 are also here. Apart from that, as MIUI also introduces AI based features that are also included within this port, but remember most of them are based on Chinese software services, so might not work globally.
Talking about the essential features, such as the fingerprint scanner, GPS, Wi-Fi, audio and video playback are also working fine. However, there’s still one little bug as per mentioned by the developer and of course, there could be more as this still a trial version. The NFC is not working so, those who use it on a daily basis for payments or transferringfiles on the go might have to wait until the issues get fixed.
The Lenovo P2 was launched back in 2017 and was one of the best budget premium phones out there, with a Super AMOLED display which was a segment first, and a massive 5000mAh battery with one of the fastest 24W charging made it stand apart from the crowd. And now it’s good to see, that the community support is still present for the device and there’s more to come for it in the future until the Vibe P3 arrives.
