Samsung is now rolling out a brand new Update for the Galaxy Note 9 which brings the much awaited night mode for the users, which will up your low-light photography game on the already excellent Note 9 camera. The update is now seeding for the Exynos variant and is rolling out globally. You not only get the camera update but also the latest June Security patch as well.
Night mode enhances night time photos with the camera taking multiple shots and combining them into one with high details, dynamic range, and brighten up shadows and highlights, just like how it’s done on the Google Pixel 3 but not to that extent. Nowadays, every OEM has their own night sight, for darker environments and with the variable aperture technology, the software can finally take advantage of such capable hardware.
Currently, the latest update has been first captured in Germany and has been heading towards other European countries as well. Moreover, the Canadian variant is also seeing this update, but this one is bundled with the May 2019 security patch. The size is around 540MB, and in total there’re two updates, CSE1 and CSE3. Along with that, some performance and stability improvements are also here.
Now for the users, who have the Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 the is currently not available right now, but it will be seeding soon once, the Exynos quota gets completed. It is always recommended to download such update via Wi-fi instead then mobile data, and if you haven’t received the update yet, you can always check manually by going to the Settings > About phone and system software updates.
