The Essential phone which first brought the bezel-less design and was positioned as a premium device by none other than the godfather of Android, was a huge disappointment when it came to the camera. It wasn’t able to match the likes of the Galaxy S8 or the LG V30. However, the company was committed to improving upon the camera, and till this day, they’re rolling out new camera improvements for that device. And now a new is also over the air for the Essential phone, and this one is for the Camera.
The new camera update for the Essential phone (PH-1) fixes the camera sluggishness once in for all. And also no more shutter lag will be experienced from now on and finally speeding things up. Even though it is backed by a powerful Qualcomm chip, the sluggishness plagued the device and was one of the major reasons for its downfall. The app will not only work flawlessly and faster within normal camera mode but also in the burst mode as well.

Moreover, the creator of the Essential phone, that’s Andy Rubin acknowledged that his company has heard it’s users and with the launch of the next-gen Essential phone. They will improve on the camera front big time and will truly deliver a worthy flagship grade camera experience.
The Essential PH-1 was the first product from Essential which was powered by a Snapdragon 835 chip and possessed some semi-modular capabilities. It had a Dual-Camera setup and ran on a decent 3040mAh battery.
